The Sustainable Energy Access Forum Kenya (SEAF-K) is a National network of CSOs, development partners, individuals, vendors, government departments and agencies advocating for access and use of clean, affordable and modern energy services and products. SEAF-K works through thematic groups which include Research and Development (R&D), Membership Outreach and Capacity Building (MECAP), Information and Communication and Governance. The Forum is managed by an elected Steering Committee comprising various leaders of thematic working groups
The overall vision of SEAF-K is “have all Kenyans have total energy access to clean and sustainable energy services”, and the strategic objective of MECAP is “enhanced capacity of energy access actors at all levels to develop a sustainable clean energy market”.
MECAP working group which is involved in membership mobilization, capacity building and resource mobilization for capacity building of SEAF-K members has organised a half day workshop which aims at:
- 1. Recruiting new members and partners through reaching out and creating awareness on SEAF-K vision.
- 2. Bringing together organizations that are working to accelerate energy access in communities
- 3. Strengthening stakeholder engagement in the energy value chain
The workshop will be held on Friday 26th July, 2019 at Climate Change Resource Centre within the Kenya Metrological Department (KMD) Headquarters, Dagoretti Corner, Nairobi.
